The first public workflow allowed users to:
- select areas of interest from large E57 datasets;
- extract point subsets without storing the full file in memory;
- preserve coordinates and available attributes such as geometry, RGB, intensity, and images where supported;
- generate smaller E57 files prepared for downstream work.
The objective was straightforward: make registered point clouds easier to use in real engineering tasks.
CloudCompare appeared in the demonstration only as an independent visualization and verification tool. It was not part of CloudCutter_E57.
This publication should remain a short historical update on the website. It records the first visible product behavior and provides context for the more detailed architecture articles that follow.
